The Tab-Matrix is the first sectional matrix designed to achieve excellent results while retaining ease of use.
The Tab, the Tab-Matrix’ most obvious innovation, eliminates the frustration caused by the difficulty of fitting such a small part in the correct position.
The Tab serves as a ‘handle’ that can be bent mesially to offer any type of pincers ready purchase on the Tab-Matrix.
A further problem often encountered with sectional matrices is the difficulty of removing the matrix after fitting the restoration. Although closely-spaced contacts are desirable they only exacerbate the problem.
The Tab-Matrix offers a solution for this problem: pin-holes that offer a grip for TrioDent’s patent-pending Pin-Tweezers. In combination, the Pin-Tweezers and the holes in the matrix achieve an excellent grip.
The Tab-Matrix is the most anatomically-accurate matrix on the market. In contrast to most other matrices, which have a simple arc shape, the Tab-Matrix has an S-shaped curve that follows the proximal surface more closely. This is shown in the image on the right.
